   Proposal Description:
   In order to inform the consent process for individuals carrying the APOE-44       genotype for the Alzheimer Prevention Initiative (API) APOE-44 study, the         investigators asked up to develop detailed risk estimates by APOE genotype.       Although only homozygotes are eligible for the API study, in order to maintain    the blind between screening and the potential enrollment visit, a subset of       individuals with other genotypes are being brought back in for genetic            counseling. Thus, a full range of risk estimates is needed. Working in            collaboration with the API group at Banner, Dr. Rebecca Betensky at MGH and the   Harvard School of Public Health, and Dr. Jing Xian of UMass, we will develop      risk estimates stratified by age and genotype, as well as more complex models     including other demographic predictors and cardiovascular risk factors. In        parallel, we will also be estimating risk in several major population based       cohort studies.
